Taranaki District Health Board's Public Health service works both in the hospital environment and throughout the community to promote healthy living and protect the population through education, monitoring, screening and treatment. Please choose from one of the following four areas:
Health Promotion
The Health Promotion Unit delivers population based health programmes to the people of Taranaki. Click here for more information.
Health Protection
Health Protection provides regulatory and audit services, and public advocacy/advisory services in the areas of food, communicable disease control, environmental health, toxic substance management. The unit also deals with public health aspects of civil defence. Click here for more information.
Recreational Water Safety Maps
Fresh water and Coastal maps available. Both maps are updated frequently throughout the busy period, October through to April.
