Services offered by Taranaki DHB's Pharmacy Department include:

Clinical Ward Pharmacy - promoting quality, cost effective therapy to ensure the best outcomes for the patient and the organisation
Drug Utilisation information, including ongoing review of Taranaki DHB's Preferred Medicines List (PML, currently version 3 and developing version 4). The PML includes antibiotic guidelines, reserve antibiotic procedures, paediatric medicines supplement and clinical treatment guidelines
Pharmaceutical Supply - provision of all inpatient medication
Sterile Compounding (TPN and PPN) plus non-sterile manufacturing
Provision of monthly Pharmacy Bulletins

Pharmacy is not available for outpatient dispensing.

Taranaki DHB's Pharmacy Department is located on level 1, in the main corridor, for the provision of inpatient medication.
