General Medical - Ward 5

Ward 5 is a 36-bed ward dealing with medical and oncology patients.

Patients are admitted via the Emergency Department and ICU, or directly from home if previously booked into the ward by a consultant or GP.

We have consultant physicians, each with their own registrars and house surgeons. Within the multidisciplinary team we work with various allied health professionals. The nursing staff work in teams with the support of a healthcare assistant.

Hours:

Visiting hours are between 2pm and 8pm daily. Visitors are asked not to visit if suffering from an infection.
