Work to Commence Soon

Contractors will be working in the area between the Lyn St entrance and the Clinical Skills Lab/Block C at Base Hospital from Monday (19 July). The work includes relocating a water main, storm water and sewer lines, and installing a new mains power cable. More info...

Hand, Foot and Mouth Outbreak

Taranaki DHB’s Public Health Unit has been in contact with a child care centre in Hawera where a number of cases of hand, foot and mouth disease have occurred. The Public Health Unit is satisfied that measures have been taken by the preschool to prevent the spread of the disease. More info...

Taranaki Whanau Ora Hui Powerpoint

The presentation was made by Pahia Turia who facilitated a Whanau Ora concept hui called by Te Whare Punanga Korero and held at Owae Marae, Waitara on 1 June. Taranaki was the only/first place in the country that had taken the initiative to bring Maori together from iwi, providers, funders and whanau to discuss what Whanau Ora might look like in Taranaki.
